The Liberty Cares Fund provides assistance to district families during times of financial hardship. Research has shown that children, especially those at-risk, are most successful when efforts are designed to engage and support the family’s ability to provide a safe and stable environment for their children. We are dedicated to making sure our students can come to school without the weight of adult problems on their shoulders.

Services provided to students and families in need through LPS social workers with support from the Liberty Cares Fund include:

- meal debt (lunch/breakfast) relief for free/reduced eligible families
- emergency funds for qualifying expenses
- a Back to School supply event
- shoes and essential clothing assistance
- a basic Necessities Closet
