Liberty Education Foundation: New Name, New Look, New Energy

Liberty, Mo. Since 1995, the Liberty School District Foundation has been committed to enriching educational opportunities throughout Liberty Public Schools. The Foundation’s mission is to enrich educational experiences in Liberty Public Schools by mobilizing community resources and financial support. While the organization’s mission remains the same, its name and look are changing. Moving forward, the organization has been rebranded and will be called the Liberty Education Foundation.

Tanna Campbell, Executive Director of the Liberty Education Foundation, said, “The new name and logo will help the community better understand how the Foundation and Liberty School District connect, as well as give a refreshed look and feel that is more representative of the organization’s progressive goals.”

"The Liberty Education Foundation will continue to be an important partner to the Liberty School District. They have dedicated the organization to elevating educational experiences for all of our students, in every school,” said Dr. Jeremy Tucker, Liberty Public Schools Superintendent.

The Foundation worked with Liberty High School alumna, Emily Duncan Gaumnitz ’13, to create the dynamic new logo, and the Liberty Education Foundation executive committee and board of directors selected the organization’s new name. "As a student in Liberty Public Schools, I was lucky to receive an educational experience that supported and encouraged the arts. Partnering with the Liberty Education Foundation, especially in a way that let me use my design education, was a wonderful opportunity to continue to support that community," said Emily.

Since its inception, the organization has accomplished several milestones for Liberty Public Schools students and teachers, including:

  • Providing more than $900,000 to support innovation in the classroom and to meet the needs of our students.
  • Offering over 500 grants to fuel the creativity of our inspiring educators.
  • Funding the launch of the STEAM Bus (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and its continued technology needs.
  • Hosting 22 HOPE Awards, honoring hundreds of students for their exceptional attitudes and actions.
